TVR was established in 1947 by Trevor Wilkinson, the name "TVR" being derived from his first name. The first cars were "specials" using the drivelines from production cars, tuned and installed in a lightweight TVR chassis with minimal bodywork to maximise the agility and power-to-weight ratio. TVR Chimaera - Car Insurance Group 20

The TVR Chimaera is a two seater convertable sports car manufactured by TVR between 1992 and 2001. The top of the range 5.0 V8 offers fantastic performace with a 0-60 of 4.1 seconds and a top speed of just under 170 mph. TVR's are not for the faint hearted and the Chimaera is no exception.  TVR Tuscan - Car Insurance Group 20

The TVR Tuscan Speed Six is probably TVR's most significant new model since the Chimaera. To sum it up, it is a convertible which can comfortably accommodate two people and their luggage, and features comforts like air conditioning and power steering. However, the car does not weigh much more than 1000 kg. It is powered by TVR's own straight six engine which pumps out 360 bhp.

TVR Cerbera - Car Insurance Group 20

The TVR Cerbera first appeared at the London motorshow in 1994. It was the first hard top TVR to be made since the Tasmin finished production in 1985.  Powered by a 4.5 V8, 4.2 V8 or a 4.0 straight 6 this car is devastatingly quick. The car is a 2+2, and will accommodate 3 adults with out too much discomfort, or 2 adults & 2 children very comfortably.

TVR Sagaris - Car Insurance Group 20

The TVR Sagaris, a development of the T350 coupe has been designed with motorsport in mind. Destined for the race tracks, the Sagaris is a T350 which has undergone major development to address the needs for greater aerodynamic stability and downforce. It has a wider track than the T350 and is powered by a 400 bhp version of the Straight Six engine.
