The Alfa Romeo 147 is a fine tuned example of the previous 146. More anglular in design than its predicessor seems to be the new corporate image of Alfa. The insurance is steep, group 11 for a basic 1.6 twin spark. Interior space is fine but perhaps this is the reason the boot suffers for size. The 146 and 147 are the only models with good residual value.

Alfa Romeo 156 - From Car Insurance Group 11
The Alfa 156 for me was a turning point in design for the humble saloon car. Alfa even off set the number plate as to not disturb the grill design. Hiding the rear door handles is just another design great. Launched back in 1997 you can pick one up for peanuts now. Watch out for mechanical problems. Buy one with plenty of Service History.

Alfa Romeo GTV/Spider - From Car Insurance Group 16
The Alfa GTV and Spider were lauched in March 2005 at the Geneva Motorshow, after a long period of Alfa not having any true sports car in its range. With a grunty 2.0 Twin Spark 3.0 V6 and V6 3.2 engines to choose from this is a real sports car. The Spider is less stable for having no roof yet still an exhilerating drive.
