Personally I prefer the old part of Marbella where you can discover pretty narrow streets and the beautifull Orange Square or "La Plaza de los Naranjos" as they say in Spain. Full of beautiful plants and trees that fill the air with wonderfull scents set against the back drop of white washed shops and houses and the deep blue sky.  

 Ronda, My personal favourite place to visit and stay in southern Spain. You need car hire in Spain to reach Ronda and the drive it's self is a fantastic journey of discovery. As you wind your way up in to the hills and mountains above Marbella the landscape changes from hill topped mountains to moon like scenary before working your way back to civilisation and down into Ronda. Once you arrive in Ronda you are greated by old historic buildings.
